    It is crazy that right now its 64F in Lytton and an hour away in Clinton it is 33 and snow.

    Temperature down to 49 here in Victoria with moderate rain

    Yes the water moderates us but being in an outflow exposed area also keeps our temperature up during night time hours when the wind is going but keeps us cooler in the day.

    I was going to comment that the outflow does feel very cold here today. Currently around 38 but that wind is cold!

    Next week and next weekend are still looking interesting with snow chances. Hoping we can keep this cold month rolling!

    If my memory serves me right..3-4 days prior to an event like this there always seems to be waffling in the models or moderation...only to revert back a day or 2 before...hopefully this is the case.

    Cautiously optimistic...doesn't appear this will be top tier anymore and I'm not loving the western trend but feeling ok about our location and scoring something decent. This winter has been so bad that having some snow falling with temperatures in the mid 30's will seem like a win. Plus there appears we could have more chances after the initial trough.

    Don't worry about precip maps right now as they will change with every run. Main thing is that it looks like it will be plenty cold with precip around.

    Ya it took a while to change over to snow and the snow was very wet to start off with compared to your location.

    Most of Victoria scored at least a foot.

    I have lived in Victoria since the summer of 89. There has been sticking snow (of at least an inch) every winter from 89 to the winter of 2011-12. Even the terrible winters of 91-92, 99-00, 20-03 all had some sticking snow at some point. Since 2011-12 there has been snow less winters for the winters of 2012-13, 2014-15, 2015-16 and now potentially this year. Just been an awful decade here.
