  1. Fingers crossed. LNK is only at 0.41" for the month, which is currently 7th driest in history.
  2. Wind advisories and red flag warnings have quickly become my least favorite headlines
  3. Drought relief portion of title should probably be changed to “and continued drought and wildfires”
  4. That area has just not been having a good time the past few weeks
  5. Guys I don't wanna brag but we were drenched with 0.05" in Lincoln.
  6. It looks like the only chance for appreciable precip is in the far eastern edge of the state, even east of Lincoln. The past several years has been a string of dry Aprils at LNK, but previous years were not already as a dry as a bone. May almost always comes in clutch, so if the dry pattern continues though then we're probably extra screwed.
  7. 12z GFS has dried out even more, nothing of significance in Nebraska outside of fantasy land.
  8. Kind of interesting - but there's been no max temps in the 70s-80s so far this month, all 40s-60s with a random day cooking at 91. Sounds about April, but that should change by Wednesday with some 70s. I know everyone wants 70s and 80s but I'm a sucker for sunny days in the 50s lol.
  9. The relative humdity is still at 28% at 1 am. The dryness this year has been very noticeable, afternoons are regularly below 25%. Usually those days are few and far between.
  10. Big severe forecasts for the Memphis region rarely ever materialize. It is definitely outside of the new “Dixie Alley” region, which covers most of MS and all of AL.
  11. Nice and welcome thunderstorm during a time of drought, quickly dropped around 0.40”.
  12. That line really got it's act together very quickly. Should get interesting shortly in Lincoln.
  13. I've noticed that an outrageous spring blizzard in the Dakotas has become almost a yearly tradition. Bismarck and western ND currently getting crushed, multiple stations reporting 0.15 mi visibility. I couldn't imagine a map looking like this for eastern Nebraska:
  14. LNK went from 60 to 81 in two hours. Cloud cover seemed expansive but moved out very quickly.
  15. Yeah this year has been the epitome of absolute bullshit. Hopefully we can look back and laugh and couple years from now.
  16. Yikes blowing dust advisory put out all the way to Lancaster county. Says visibility between a quarter mile to a mile. Will probably be a greater concern outside of the city but D**n.
  17. From OAX: “The City of Lincoln is wrapping up the least snowy cold season on record. Only 20% of the city's normal snowfall has fallen (summer '21 to summer '22).” Looking on the right, you can see I gave them permission to use an actual photo of me.
  18. Decided to check to see if this Dakotas blizzard means a decent soaker for Nebraska......it does not.
  19. Yeah these maps aren't always the best, though I can say it's pretty accurare for eastern Nebraska so the contrast from most of IA should be even greater than that map shows ugh lol.
  20. This winter was a joke. 2021-22 should easily take the #123 spot in Lincoln.
  21. Boooooring outlook. At least temps look pleasant, mostly 50s and 60s.
  22. The difference betwen DSM and just a couple hours to the west this year has been crazy. The least snowiest season here is almost a lock at this point, 35" is considered a pretty good season.
