So you're saying that storm chasers shouldn't exist, because they get excited when severe weather strikes? No one wants to see anyone get effected. I don't want people to be harmed, but it's weather, it's uncontrollable, and there's a reason people are meteorology majors, because weather is interesting. To skew it into your view that we only want a cold outbreak because it's dangerous is beyond ridiculous, that's the last thing any of us would want. In fact, we've been the ones spreading the word about how cold and dangerous it will be, so your point is invalid.

Yeah this is gunna be a yikes from me dawg So I disagree with the northerly solutions. I just don't see this thing going this far north with the cold air in place right now. It's showing rain in less than 48 hours, and it's literally -1 outside. There's just no way. But I also have no scientifical explanation for it, I'm just going with my gut. I did for once! It even snowed an additional 1" last night which was a nice surprise. Ended up with around 8-9". Loved this storm, LES is my favorite!

To be completely honest, and maybe it’s cuz I live on concrete and there’s not a lot of grassy areas around here, it looks like we have maybe 3” I can’t for the life of me find how that’d be true but I guess we’ll see. We may have gotten shafted in this part of town!
