Spring is such an unpredictable time for storms, cloud cover and weather in general, especially for the region affected by this eclipse. Going to be fascinating to watch this unfold as we actually get into reasonable range now.

DEN put up a -.2 departure in March. Two out of three months below normal so far this year, definitely better than I was expecting.

Coolest major station in the region, save BLI which had a -1.1. Seems like SLE does better with negative departures in cloudier months now, opposite of OLM which put up a +1.3 departure. And then we have PDX, which runs warm in pretty much any pattern.

I see the Euro has still not hopped on Tim's "next warm up right around the corner". Or the GFS. -

I've seen worse first 3 months of the year. Though granted, lately February has tilted this period cooler. -

Looks like temps most places in the PNW will remain below normal overall for close to a week starting Wednesday. -

Wouldn't trade it for a clear day in TX during an eclipse! -

Can't wait for the daily updates from Phil. Fortunately, profuse perspiration quickly clears the cicada pee from one's pores. -

Really want those to come to CO: https://www.gadzooksaz.com/. It's kinda like Chipotle, but higher quality and enchiladas. So good. -

Looks like a big storm here. For our PNW friends, the trough dropping down next week is both deeper and a bit faster. Significantly improved blocking in the GOA. -

It shows basically all of North America with slightly above normal heights by the end. Doesn't look like much of a signal to me. Pretty far out, obviously. -

I'd imagine you got more precip than them with the N/NE flow with the January blast, though? -

Can't speak to your location, but looks like Port Angeles averages around 8-9" in Jan-Mar. Last year was wack.
