Happy Sunday Funday! It's rally time as the holiday season is in the Final stretch and we have also entered the time of year when Winter really begins to show up. While some of you will have their snow eaten away (dang Grinch)...Mother Nature has her way at the end of the day. Is it time to start tracking Winter storms??? My bet is that the New Year's system and the opening week of JAN will be filled with a lotta Winter coming down the Piper!
I'm happy for you and your family being able to enjoy a White Christmas that's pretty much a lock (that goes for the rest of the GL's peeps). The deep snowpack that has developed over Ontario is definitely aiding in the low level cold. This DEC as a a whole has been one that you can say had a much different "Holiday Feel". Soak it up bud!
Yeah, but number of days with snow on the ground is a very big deal to most people.
I remember getting nearly a foot of snow in December 1974 when an AR transitioned to snow. Of course the greatest of all time in that regard is December 1924. Full blown pineapple express overtaken by an Arctic blast which produced widespread 6 to 12 inch accumulations followed by a long period of very cold weather.
