Depends on his interests and if he feels like time to learn something new. The 737 program is still trying to certify the -10 so plenty of work. But I’m sure he’s aware that a choice to Renton, he’ll be dealing with mostly subsystems for 737. All other work are in Evt and few scattering around puget sound. Tukwila is an option if he’s interested in the defense program closer to Seattle.

I thought it was showing something when we had the quietest 1-month midseason since 1993 last year. The year before then we also had an extremely quiet period midseason for the first time in a very long time. These serious breaks in activity the past 2 years were not ever present before in this +AMO cycle. The pattern was starting to quiet down before this season. Of course the aesthetics of strongest El Nino since the 1800s = lowest Atlantic ACE to date since the 1800s, are pleasing, but honestly the odds of those two things lining up that are probably 1:10.

I am not sure if he has thought about Renton. I should ask.

I base in Everett but I work in Seattle across Boeing Field and the Delivery Center. Sometimes be out there to do some ground tests. I used to commute from Seattle 1-2 days a week and hated it. I’m not for commuting from Auburn to Evt. Has he thought about Renton? It’ll be a much better commute for sure. I’m currently looking to transfer to Renton closer to home but there is a freeze as the contract situation is being worked out.

My son feels the same way. So you work in Renton? My son lives in Seattle and works in Everett. Reverse commute is not bad for him.
