And this isn't the first summer. I called it the "Hell hole" of the midwest. And I got a decent rain on May 25th. So from May 26th to now that map is way worse.
1993 like rainfall numbers up north the last 30 days with more on the way. You can clearly see @OttumwaSnomowlocation hopefully the missed area can land some storms before we get into July.
My place is going to make a run at 100 degrees today for the first time this year. Models are mixed on if and how much rain may fall tomorrow, fingers crossed that we get a good drink.
Here's some that I really like. The first one is for making nationwide precip and temperature maps back to 1895. The second one is for doing temperature and precip ranks for any part of the United States or the whole United States back to 1895. Very fun!

This one is for making maps for many elements for many levels of the atmosphere from the surface to the stratosphere. It can be adjusted to view anything from the entire globe pretty much down to just your backyard. Maps can be made back to 1948 and can be set for normal, mean, and anomaly.
