  1. The Macdonald-led Seahawks can't come any sooner, excited for the new era. A shame the Kraken couldn't continue their momentum from last year though
  2. May John Stanton experience perpetual 33F cold rain and rug pulls for eternity.
  3. Thanks for the heads up, I appreciate it! That's gross I'll let you know if anything actually progresses with this application, I was hoping for Bozeman if anything lol. Montana has a quiet yet underrated tech scene that I hope deters most of the competition away cause of the climate. It'd be such a win-win to work there and really experience their winters.
  4. I wish there were a hug react for you guys but until then, . It's utterly stupid as fucc that this is how things are, wishing you the best.
  5. Had a recruiter hit me up about a software dev position in Helena, MT. Probably nothing will come out of it, but it's fun to daydream about Montana snow if I were to relocate there If only! 53F right now, sun's trying to peek through clouds
  6. 53F with cool showers currently. Still not stopping family BBQ time under porch umbrellas Came to an end but nice that the Cougs represented WA well! Zags it is, then?
  7. Thank you so much! That's awesome, congrats on your degree too! That's how I feel right now when I turned in my last assignment and project a few days ago, and will probably panic about "wait.. I don't have anything more to turn in, right?" Lol. If I do grad school, I wanna pivot into meteorology or astronomy somehow. I'll see what happens!
  8. Been recharging my batteries after finals. Completely done with my CS degree and Math minor! … Assuming I passed! Absolutely gorgeous day at Dash Point earlier at low tide. Still hanging onto 70F imby. Couldn’t get to hike last summer cause of classes, so I look forward to hitting up Rainier and around Lake Crescent for the first time sooner or later.
  9. Finals week for me, this is gonna be such a good treat once I’m done with school and the week is complete. Planning to go target shooting in the woods with dad on that 70-burger day.
  10. “Haven’t checked in today, let’s see what the models are cookin’ up-“
  11. You can see Fife/Puyallup getting snow domed hard and confirming how I've gotten to really know this area's terrain Immediately to the north, west, and south getting 1-2" since they're higher up by 100', while you can see the outline of the river valley there in white.
  12. Winterhawks aren't bad, though not the NHL team you're looking for. Fun team to watch though and I love the name.
  13. Amen. I still count my blessings to have experienced 2008, 2019, and 2021 living here. Oh and the 1" of snow on Christmas Eve 2017!
  14. 53F and cloudy, on and off showers. Some exciting times ahead for late Feb and early March, would be pretty happy for an overnight 1" of snow in my backyard, though still hoping for a last 2019/2021 hoorah in Fife before I move out sooner or later
  15. Just been pure rain here the entire time. It be what it be with the Swamp.
  16. Since Jan 2022 in my backyard, I’ve gotten 2.1” but it was also pretty spotty across the area. That 0.1 coming from this winter lol. I wish I took better measurements overall, it was before I discovered this forum. I got around 10” in 2019 and that was incredible. Fife is along the river valley and is surrounded by higher hills with Tacoma to the west and Milton to the north. Immediately to the northwest is the port and the sound where it’s easier for warmer air to funnel into Fife and Puyallup in marginal events which we get a lot. That’s just my layman’s experience with living here and watching rain/snow lines on radar, I’m sure there’s more to it. But I can’t wait be done with college and hopefully move somewhere in WA that’s snowier
  17. Lions literally had it. I don't think we're gonna see Detroit get that close to the SB in a long while. Giving up 17 points in 8 minutes of game time is almost Falcons level of choking. Not even a Detroit fan and this felt really heartbreaking. Looks like the Swiftie City Chiefs gonna have to beat them again.
  18. Who's the 18 year old intern they hired at TWC that did this?
  19. Just woke up to the WWA here. Snow of less than 1/2” and ice of 1/10”. Gonna be an interesting night ahead
  20. Reminds me of that one year, it might've been 2015, when there was this epic historic snowstorm/blizzard projected to hit NYC. Predicting as much as 2" of snow to slam the area, the city shut down in anticipation, and then... only a few inches came from the storm. Meteorologists got sent death threats and got doxxed, and New York media absolutely eviscerated these poor mets. Can't really remember the meteorological set up that made this forecast bust, something something the blizzard was more east to snow on Long Island instead. I remember that windstorm and how badly it busted. Seattle media is pretty soft and the NWS still got roasted hard. Fife didn't even have that bad of a breeze that night lol.
  21. If it verifies, it'd be a nice day to carefully walk around the park and take some pictures!
