  1. Someone please post pepto snow maps and tell me we're all too pessimistic. What does the WRF say
  2. I'm not trolling I just think changes within 7 days are more likely than snow maps at hour 240
  3. Someone blabbed at the dinner table and told grandma that next weekend would be historic. I smell jinx pie.
  4. If you talk about the weather during Thanksgiving and get doughnut-holed on snow maps it's because the models account for jinxes. That's just science.
  5. Longtime lurker here... I figured it was a good time to check-in for the first time this year. Glad to see old friends. I've got my saddle ready for the model riding this week.
  6. I get sugar ants but I knock em out with borax and sugar soaked in a cotton ball.
  7. We made it through 2019 without the hummingbird feeder freezing, but it might be a different story this year.
  8. After last night's disappointing euro run I told my wife that I would quit wasting time on the forum and buy a farmers almanac, but here I go again...
  9. It makes it more fun when you read people excitedly posting, who just last night, let us all know that they were "done", and "taking a break", or "walking away for a while"... sure you are
  10. So the baby shot out over alaska again? That swirling image you posted earlier this afternoon helped me grasp what's going on.
  11. It's funny to me how the firehose was pointed to Portland recently in the models while the maps showed a modest 3" for Seattle, however I didn't hear any crying up here in Wa.
  12. My weather enthusiasm started when I was a kid and my siblings would wake me up to watch the school closures scroll across the tv. I loved it when my older brothers high school was 2 hrs late and my middle school was closed!
  13. I helped 4 stuck drivers last year on my way home from work when the snow hit. One was a new F-250 WSDOT truck being driven by a kid who had no idea what he was doing. He had no clue how to put it in 4 wheel drive. As soon as he got it in gear he had no problem. The second was in the same location at a traffic light. The girl had moved up from California and had bald tires on a c-class Mercedes and with a lead-foot, she kept spinning and drifting closer and closer to an embankment. Experienced driving matters in snow.
  14. Pour out a 40 for all the homeys that should be selling tickets and renting skis at snoqualmie... RIP 2019 bonus Christmas income.
  15. As a duck hunter we need wind and rain or an extended period of freezing temps.. Needless to say, it's been a rough season so far. Historically don't most major PNW wind events occur in November?
