  1. Your right. Just looked back and it looks like it was more the 27th onward up here.
  2. Lots of close calls but as far as measurable snow, on the ground on Christmas, 2008 is the only time I can remember. I know 1996 did too but I wasn't here, so it doesn't count.
  3. If we score big enough looks like it'd lock in a white Christmas up this way. That'd make it the 2nd one in my 30 year lifetime that I've experienced (2008 was the first obviously).
  4. Socked in with fog all day here. Only a high of 37F. Currently just below 32F
  5. Slightly less insane. But, there's always next year.
  6. Mix of sun and cloud mixed in with 20 minute episodes of crazy wind most of the day. Had to get off the roof from putting Christmas lights up at one point from the wind.
  7. Woke up to a balmy 53.6F. Nice break in the rain up here for now.
  8. This was also in Nanoose, same day. In other news, 34.7F here now. Guessing that'll jump quite a bit when the moisture arrives.
  9. 1.77" of rain here today so far. Currently raining at a 0.47"/hr rate. Chilly too, 40F at the moment.
  10. Down to 26F here last night. Felt very January like this AM warming my car up.
  11. Moderately snowing here still. Temp stuck at 32F as it has been since about 1pm. About 1" of slop accumulated so far. The roads are going to be a joke in the AM if it gets colder overnight.
  12. Heavy snow here now. Just starting to stick to unpaved surfaces. Temp a hair above 34F
  13. Been raining here since 8am. Just switched over to wet snow.
  14. 35F when I woke up this AM. First time this season the windsheild on the car has been frozen too!
  15. I've had a Davis Vantage Vue since 2011 and it's been great. A less pricey option then the Davis Pro but has all the features I needed.
  16. Anyone know the new link for that German site for the GFS ensemble? Tried the old one and it didn't work.
  17. A- Snowfall is what makes or breaks a winter for me personally. I do enjoy the cold but enjoy it much more with snowfall. Initially it was hard seeing the lower mainland score big time while I had cold rain or 1" of snow but things turned around. 1) 13 days of snow cover (Dec 5 - Dec 18). Easily the most since Dec 08' 2) Dec was a solidly cold month. Mean temp of 35F (Average is 38F) 3) Waking up to a dusting of snow Christmas AM. Almost counts as white Christmas? 4) Mulitple >1" snowfalls between Dec 5th and current The last week has really made this winter go from a C+ to an A-. -2" of snow last Thursday night-Friday AM (Feb 2-3) -8" of snow last Friday night - Saturday AM (Feb 3-4) -1" of snow Sunday evening (Feb 5) - 6" last night (Feb 8) This has been the best winter up here since 2008-2009.
  18. Snowing hard since about 5pm here. Typically the cold hangs on slightly longer up this way. This last week has really performed up here. Currently I have about 9" of snow on the ground
  19. 6" fell overnight here. Currently have 8" on the ground. Im thinking this is the most snow since 2012.
