With yet another subzero day in Fairbanks today, we have officially reached the 2nd longest stretch of subzero temperatures in Fairbanks since 1904. This has been the longest stretch of below zero temperatures in 73 years or since 1953.
00z EPS was tantalizingly close to a full on blast. The other ensembles aren't bad. I guess I'd say I have low-medium confidence the ridge will hold and not float away too far north in latitude. IF by some chance models come around to a beefier block look out! Cautiously optimistic. C'MON!!!!
