Looks like ORD had a midnight high of +5F on Friday and then temps tumbled to a low of -11F around 7-8am from what I saw and held subzero through the day it appears. @Hoosier, does that sound about right? Nevertheless, an impressive cold spell with minimal snow cover.

I think that is the coldest I've seen in in Lower MI in quite some time. Deep snow pack and light winds under Arctic HP will do the trick. Enjoy winters delight my friend!
