Lol. I find the whole debate between keeping DST the way it is or changing our schedules to permanent time to be so ridiculously charged. It's not as if we truly gain or lose any real time. If we switched to permanent clocks and had early sunsets in the winter and early sunrises in the summer, then who cares, what is stopping us from just changing our schedules during different times of the year? i mean for f***s sake we already change time itself twice a year, as hilarious as that sounds, it's true. It's not like there's this rifle to our heads demanding we get up at the same time year round. Just shift the work schedules later or earlier. None of it is as headache inducing as these yearly national debates make it out to be. Changing our schedules to permanent time would be a marginal amount of headache to make our lives marginally more simple. Yet people have heated debates over this like you just brought up socialism in a bar in 1958 (it was an El Niño that year.) At the end of the day I just don't care. Keep the schedule the same. Or toss it. Twice a year I'll be shrugging my shoulders and adjusting my alarm clock, or I won't be. Yawn. As for my actual opinion on which to choose, not just my opinion on the debate itself, I think we should change to permanent time. No mess in the fall and spring. If the light gets so weird that it's actually impactful to quality of life, people and companies will adjust their seasonal schedules as needed. After a decade or so we'll find a nice rhythm, then bam, we'll be comfortable without having to go through two awkward transitions a year for no reason. Because let's be honest, changing time itself twice a year is a goofy ass solution to being a little too far away from the equator. But hey, that's just my two cents

The permanent Standard Time people are downright psychopathic. And/or boomers. Who else would enjoy 4AM sunrises in the summer and darkness at 430PM in the winter? Madness.

Here is my redneck irrigation system. I still need to trim the hoses some. They were originally cut to length before the gravel area around the shed was put in, but I've been too lazy to do it. For the front yard, you can see 3 of the sprinkler heads, there is a forth further down the wall by the tree that actually faces back towards the bushes to water them.
