This is I-35 near the Twin Cities right now.... our storm has arrived!

I'm sure the NAM is smoking something, but this would be quite bad if it actually happened.

The precipitation map is interesting to see. It explains why areas north of Newcastle saw limited accumulations due to less precip. On the other hand if you were too far south, you saw rain or the snow was too wet. Between Auburn and Renton was the golden zone. There were also higher totals in Bellevue Summit and North Bend, and which elevation helped make the totals even more insane up there. If this snow wasn't super wet and constantly melting/compacting, we'd be measuring in several feet some places!

Even some main roads still have a little snow on them down the hill from me in Maple Valley.
