Wow, that Faithful America group is stupid.
First, the Appeal to Heaven flag was originally associated with the American revolution. Just because some stupid idiots carried it around during the January 6 riots, that doesn't make it racist. I'm sure some people at the January 6 protests also had the American flag. Would that make the American flag racist?
Second, they have articles like teachers should not be allowed to have guns in school, but what they miss is that the disciples of Jesus actually owned weapons, there are verses in the Bible that say you are allowed to own weapons and it is perfectly acceptable to kill people in self-defense.
They also had a petition for Israel to make a peace treaty against Hamas, but once again the Bible allows self-defense and even justifies war in some cases. Imagine if the South demanded the North to make a peace treaty during the Civil War. We might still have slavery today.
They do have some good points about Christian nationalism. We cannot force people to be Christians and if they reject the gospel, Jesus does actually say to stop teaching it to them for their own good and our safety. However making laws based on your Christian beliefs, such as against abortion or sex change surgery for minors is not Christian nationalism. There are many non-religious arguments against abortion as well as the second case. Also their own views of what laws should be allowed are based on how they interpret what Jesus said, which is making laws based on your religious beliefs.
Separation of church and state means there should be no state-endorsed church. For example, the government cannot force people to attend a specific church every Sunday or follow a specific religion. Once again it does not disallow Christians from participating in politics or making laws based on their religious beliefs.
What is in that man’s head?
For heaven’s sake!
Now I understand indoctrination better. You don’t just buy the lie,- you simply can’t see the truth.
