I thought the ECMWF handled the wrap around quite well. It originally showed it over Seattle during the day yesterday but then backed off a couple days ago and held it to the north which is what happened. I mentioned on Saturday that Sunday was looking pretty decent based on the ECMWF trend to keep it north. Its was just being delayed of course... it still arrived.
Doesn't seem that amazing out there... light rain and gloomy.
This seems to be playing out like usual with a developing Nina. The troughs keep coming through June until the 4th of July. At least we are getting some nice breaks this year. Even in 2022 it went through the 4th with highs in the 60s on a few days at the end of June after a short warm spell and only 62 at SEA on 7/3 before summer really got started.
We have had enough rain in far NW Iowa (Okoboji area). Local radio says almost 5" since Saturday night. Tree damage, boats blown out of hoists and Lake Okoboji is quickly approaching implementation of a mandatory no-wake rule. My sump pump is running basically continuously.
