Well, well, well....PHX did it again!!! 3-Peat baby! The Sky Harbor incubator allowed temps to shoot up to 83F once again setting a new high record for the day. Isn't that wild? 83F each of the past 3 days...how consistent!!! That's quite fascinating and hard to do in nature. I'm sure we'll hit another record today...keep ya'll posted.
In other news....
While the pattern leading up to Christmas is not ideal for snow enthusiasts (except for a few in the GL's), I will say, the pattern thereafter, esp around New Year's Day, is REALLY looking promising for Winter Weather Fans. Who will Ring in the New Year of 2025 with snow flying?? New Year...New Weather Pattern....Let's freaking go!
My LR call for a NYE storm is showing + signs among some of the operational runs and ensembles, more or less, located across the Upper MW/MW/GL's as a I do foresee a rather large storm system to traverse the region and most likely get blocked up in the GL's/Ontario area. @hawkstwelve @Minny_Weather @Beltrami Island you guys should be sitting in a good spot.
Interestingly, while the total daylight hours very slowly increase each day, I saw a chart that showed sunrises will continue to push out later in the morning till about Jan 14th, 2025 while the sunsets have already passed their earliest time at 5:20pm on Dec 10th out here. Here is a cool link you can use.
