What do you mean? How strong the winds are or the duration?
The one thing that makes the winds so strong is the low is moving fast so when the low passes us, the rising pressure behind the low is rising so fast that's winds have to flow towards the low. I'm guessing the strongest winds will last two hours maybe three hours at the most.
I'm watching the day after Christmas for your place. 0z GFS put down a good snow for you and the Euro had freezing rain. The tanking NAO has me leaning towards the GFS.
The 06Z NAM is starting to pick up the windstorm. The 12Z will have most of the storm for the Portland area and hopefully some of Washington too.
This looks to be a very bad region wide windstorm. I guess one good thing about this windstorm is it will be very short. The storm is moving so fast the winds won't last long but they will do significant damage
