Even here IMBY we get strong winds much more frequently just being near the sound than many inland areas.

Weird thing, I think that wind event earlier this month was the windiest day of the year so far IMBY (and it was like 30-35 mph gusts). And it was about the same or stronger than the "wind" from December. I had sustained winds over 30 mph in the Nov 2024 event... Now, if you live in the coast or Whidbey Island, you're sure to blasted by strong westerly surges multiple times a year.
