My Facebook feed pops up random newscasts from the Twin Cities from the same day many years ago... often from the 1970s and 80s. Today's video was the WCCO newscast from July 10th, 1983. The big weather story was the continued heat and humidity with temps in the mid 90s and dewpoints in the mid 70s. You could tell by the national map that there was big trough in the west pumping a big ridge to the east. Good reminder that our cold summers like 1983 meant it was a hot summer somewhere else.
