There's no way we're peaking at 1.85, the JAS number is already going to be approaching that and it still has 3-4 more months to go. It's gonna be like 2.7-2.8 IMO. And then you consider that's relative to today's ocean -- the Nino 3.4 relative to 1991-2020 climatology is +2.97 and probably has another degree to go based on the latest models. The only question remaining is what part of California is going to get wiped off the map? Certainly the beaches are toast, they couldn't even handle a slightly-elevated swell from Marie last week. Just wait until there is a family of 3-4 atmospheric rivers in a row in January. On the plus side, skiing in Colorado should be lit this year, book your trip to Vail now.
