Democrats ran an awful, AWFUL campaign and they seriously need to re-evaluate what they do in the future. Abortion only (potentially) affects half of the population, and a good chunk of that half does not agree with abortion. When you run a campaign with an issue that only affects roughly 35% of the population (when you factor out anti-abortion women) as your primary issue, you are cooked. Democrats had no legs to stand on in 2024, much like Republicans didn't in 2020.
