Some weather history for February 18th 1987, A small but intense low pressure system combined with northerly upslope winds to produce eight inches of snow in five hours at Meeteetsie WY, located southeast of Cody. (The National Weather Summary) (Storm Data)
Here comes the next low. You can see some popcorn clouds ahead of the system from the last low that came through yesterday. Not exactly sure where the next system will come ashore but it will be along the Oregon Coast somewhere. I'm hoping it will bring some moisture into the Portland area and I'm hoping for snow
1 inch exactly. Very light snow currently. I wasn't going to get up but when I saw it wasn't snowing in Lewiston at the lowest elevation or even at the airport at 1400ft, I knew I wanted to check since this is the first snow of the season. Would hate to miss the only chance. So this is one of the few cases where it was just cold enough to stick.
