I think that overall the summer will indeed average near to maybe a little below normal for temperatures with near to somewhat above normal precipitation favored for a lot of the southern Plains. By no means does this look like a hot summer compared to average.
I feel like @Number1AIFSfan's east wind story was foreshadowing. We are also overdue for a regional quake. Oh, and glacial rebound for Mt Rainier, Glacier Peak, and Mt Baker might have a greater impact on if we see an eruptive event in our lifetime than previously thought.
