Someone was saying August could make a run at warmest on record for the US because of the SE and Lower Midwest. I think July was the warmest July on record. Usually El Nino's are below average at a pretty high correlation.
There is a political thread where you can voice your opinions to your hearts content, just keep third rail social commentary to a minimum unless you want me to start sharing pictures from Furfest 2008. Its slow in August unless we are discussing how fridged Pacific Northwest summers are, so we're typically slow to respond to political post cleanup.
