Blanket statements about gloom that don't take into account time of year... silly stuff. We basically have a Mediterranean climate. Winter gloom and summer sun. It's probably more sunny here in the summer than many places east of the Mississippi... and certainly way drier. Our summers are hard to beat.
Except those projections of record smashing number of CDDs for the conus didn't pan out. The LR models have been running too warm overall, consistently. That's just fact.
