8.2 mm from January to November + 4.4 mm on 14th Dec + 12.3 mm on 16th Dec + 71.1 mm on 18th = 96.0 mm. Our annual average is only 77 mm!
December alone had 87.8 mm
I am hoping that we do have a 1950 redux or January 1880 redux. I guarantee either of those events nowadays would quench the thrist of even the most snow deprived weather enthusiasts here in Western Washington.
The pendulum will swing the other way. The other shoe will drop. The worm will turn. The great reversal will come. We will pay dearly for this unseasonably wet and mild December. When the pattern flips it's going to be a crippling cold(snow?) wave. It might be so cold that we'll be wishing we were warm. Arctic Madness(c)Rob 2025. It's coming.
