Rome stay is wrapping up as we head for the cruise ship. Vatican was gorgeous and so was the Basilicia di Santa Maria Maggiore. Just stunning! Looking forward to trading the city chaos of Rome with the tranquility of the Mediterranean. First stop tomorrow - Amalfi Coast. Salerno, Positano, and Capri!

Interestingly, the new CANSIPS once again came in with cooler temperature anomalies in the north and warmer in the south in DJF despite having a strong Nino. Honestly makes no sense based on past history of strong Ninos.
