I had the worst allergies to juniper and had hay fever for years. Worse in the early spring. So bad that I have to jump in the shower and wash that shat off after being outside for even 20 minutes. Nothing worked. I’ve tried about every otc med and the best was non drowsy Zyrtec. By it that just took the edge off but had a side effect of rapid heart beat or a skip here or there. So I stopped taking it and just deal with it for 2 months a year. Sucks and I feel your pain.
So strange that people don’t just get a heat pump in their house by now. It’s hot every summer and even when it’s not you get to clear out the stagnant air even when it’s not which is rare in the summer these days. Crazy to hear people getting ready to put units in the windows. Over here, most people have ac and are just getting them serviced or something. It is the 21at century.
Today is my son's 10th birthday. Went to Mod and got a Costco tiramisu log. Very Northwest.
There was a fire on Friday night on the Whitman county side of the Snake. On Saturday I saw helicopters filling up at the river and flying over the area in mop up. It seems to be out today or mostly contained. Tuesday is a fire weather watch here.
Just to get a sense of what we're dealing with on Wednesday, here are the normalized anomalies from the 00z GFS. The surface low moving through the Lakes is maxed out at the end of the scale.
By the way, the 00z GFS did shift north.
