That latter feature has me intrigued Two things to watch Friday: - Quick hitting wind event targeting PDX and vicinity late morning/early afternoon, gusts possibly up to 50mph -Lightning threat in Seattle toward the mid/late afternoon as a lee CZ fires up during peak heating w/ plenty of horizontal speed shear and mid-upper level cold behind the sfc low Friday seems like a proper first date for Fall 2026. Something for folks with Bellingham ties to keep an eye out for in the next year or so. They are shooting a movie here in town right now, they have Railroad and State shut down tonight, they are filming in the Shakedown tonight and put out a call for extras to do a "dive bar" scene. They have also been filming up at Mt Baker, and the Nooksack tribe just confirmed they rented some parking lots to stage production trucks for this weekend. I think they will be doing some scenes at the gas stations there in Deming. It sounds like they also rented out Semiahmoo for a day or 2. Its a Tyler Perry Production, and John Cena has been seen around town. Spent many MANY hours on the Chattahoochee as a teenager, it was a major contributor to my failing out of college the first time....go to class or swim out to a big flat rock in the middle of the river and pass out in the sun for several hours. That's how my May/June of my freshman year. I had a great tan that year. A bunch of us also decided to skip school/college and float the river one day. We were the only idiots out there, forgot paddles but went anyway. It did not go as planned, but did go as expected. We still had fun. My first date with my first serious girlfriend was hanging out on the banks of the river, we both got destroyed by mosquitoes but did not care, and it became a frequent hangout spot for us when we wanted to be outside but it was too hot to go anywhere away from a body of water. When that song came out, none of my friends liked country, but we all loved that song II think back now about all the time I spent swimming in that nasty-a$$ed river and shudder.....At least we were swimming on the north side of Atlanta, BEFORE it picked up all the tributaries that drained out of Atlanta.

Exactly. I got family and friends on Tapps so I have experienced too many weekends out there good and bad. Tapps is a great place, just not for me anymore. I am surprised @iFred hasn’t weighed in on his home lake.
