The Nor’easter is located off the NJ coast this morning and will drift toward and possibly into South Jersey by tomorrow AM and finally weaken on Monday. The ChescoWx model has over 1.80" of rain here in East Nantmeal by Monday morning. Winds could gust today as high as 40 mph causing some trees to fall and some power outages. Very chilly today with highs mostly remaining in the 50's. Once the storm passes we start a warming trend with highs by mid-week in the low to mid 70's which is a few degrees above normal for the very end of September.

Crazy wet! This is as sopping wet conditions that I have witnessed here in Iowa since 2010. In 2010 we had near 50" just in the growing season! It has rained on 13 of past 18 days. It's not the amount of rain, just 5.67" so far. It's the continuous moisture and no sun or wind to speak of. With the tropical rains from the pacific tropical system yet to come. Seems Iowa is primed for a flooding disaster? All outdoor work is totally haunted. My son's company's was able to squeeze in 200 acres of lawn mowing into just 2 days! But it was a mess. Farming has to be at risk. Fields are swamps. I honestly don't know how these millions of acres of grain we be! I've seen soybeans pop out onto the ground before and sprout in these conditions! Can't imagine the yield and quality losses coming? Not to mention 6$ fuel! Folks like Snodgrass talk about harvest windows? Really? Windows won't work! Iowa will need 2 weeks of sun! @Grizzcoat keep us informed on any records of observations. Keep in mind my area has been one of the drier areas!

Fellow White Sox fan here too… got to see them win on Tuesday night when I was in KC. Watching the coverage of them clinching on Thursday was an amazing and emotional moment after the last 3+ seasons. Let’s go SOX!
