    I was lucky enough to be on PEI during Dorian. It was quite the storm with weak Cat 1 conditions and heavy rain. Unfortunately I didn't get any pics during the actual storm since it hit at night primarily, although here are a few aftermath photos from the northern shores: And the southern shores:

    Hit a sweltering high of 61F here today with rain most of the afternoon. Currently 59F and cloudy.

    Boy, am I sure looking forward to this much needed stretch of sunny warmthy summery goodness this weekend. Too much rain the past few days. Three straight days above 25C here. Probably the warmest I've seen it this early for more than one day.

    Got about 20" of snowfall out of this thing. Had a high of 19F on Monday.

    Any idea what solar activity was like in November 2014? This event is pretty reminiscent of that, albeit not as cold since we're barely into the month of October!

    As shown by the amazing winter of 2016-2017 (at least in Vancouver), the blob has no bearing on snowfall and cold. There's no reason that Seattle and Portland can't see a similar winter. I also think the AEI is a load of poppycock. Time will tell though!

    It was pretty damn amazing. Then February 2014 came with quite a bit of snow and then freezing rain. That was a great winter down there.
