In a single level home I can see that working. Our upstairs stays like a sauna when we have highs above 85 and if you have multiple people doing loads of laundry right outside the rooms. AC can't be left on all night unless we start getting lows 70-75 degrees.
I was lucky with not really needing AC in Klamath Falls due to their big swings in temp from high to low.
With a low near 50 your house was 78? If you have a screened window in your bedroom, you can just put a fan there to suck the cool air in from outside. It works great for us, 67 in here this morning.
Well you see Tim, without a breeze last night and the windows open that we can actually open we still woke up this morning to it being 78 degrees in the house. Again, just stop, you don't know our situation, but I am sure you will continue to just selfishly think I am trolling you. I'm not.
