Beautiful morning. Mostly sunny with some high clouds and pleasant temps here, at the start of June and meteorological summer. 59 currently after a mildish low of 54. Looks like clouds could be increasing throughout the day.

Looking forward to some good rains tomorrow through Tuesday.

Caving to what? Last night’s Euro looked a lot more reasonable with the heat. Seems like the models are just struggling period.

Yeah gem is now odd one out. Doesn’t amplify the ridge much at all.

A normalish heatwave with 2-3 days peaking in the low to mid 90s would be just fine with me.

GEM is now the quickly progressive model.   Lots of run-to-run changes on the GEM though so maybe its lost... but if the ECMWF follows then its probably going to be right.

That said, I will be very surprised if we get off that lucky.

You live in the wrong part of the region if everywhere else needs to hit 110 for it to get hot enough for you in your backyard

No…It means everyone else is living in the wrong part of the region if they can’t take the heat! 🌵

Yesterday was very nice outside, actually got a little sunburnt. The next couple days will also be very nice! So far the warm season has had a really nice seasonal mix of clouds, rain and sunshine. Hopefully we can get another round of cooler damp weather after our first round of heat passes.

Somehow Randy is insufferable but his bromance soul mate Andrew walks on water.  Interesting.  You want to see insufferable go check out the political thread.   😀

ECMWF coming out on random maps as usual.

The GFS still has a way to go to meet the ECMWF.
