Color bars can mess with your head. On that scale many areas in yellow/orange warmed ~ 1°F but didn’t change color.
You've heavily alluded to this several times, but let's just get it in the open. Will July have a warmer anomaly than June in the US or not? Seems like May's record shattering heat dome moving north from Mexico at some point would make that easy.
