Heat Advisories have expanded closer to the coast than before down here with downtown LA and Beverly Hills now meeting the criteria. The day before Hurricane Kay stalled off the coast was the most recent time I can recall where heat products extended to the beach. It got past 100F that day here because of strong offshore flow, a surreal experience. For much of that morning it was DEAD calm. Dead calm is exceedingly rare along the coast, and it felt uncanny.
The seabreeze is largely confined to within 5 miles of the water today. corner reads 76, higher than its been in a while.
