If you look at the 00Z run, you can see the Eastwind through the Gorge increase and see how the moisture changes over to snow I've seen this before, if the low is South of the mouth of the Columbia River, Portland areas get a strong Eastwind and the possibility of a major snowstorm if we can get some cold air into the area.
