Unfortunately I think you are right. Would be interesting to get a 2018-19 repeat though.

I'd like to see that pattern retrograde more to the west so that upcoming storms aren't inside sliders that wind up producing more awful Santa Ana winds! The southern half of CA and the Desert SW desperately need more rain and the storms need to take a more over water trajectory.
