00z UW-WRF 1.33km Sounding over PDX. Check that out. That is ominous seeing the 500mb to surface flow is aligned due southerly throughout the entire profile. Big time mixing potential violently transferring winds to surface.

PDX NWS seems that they are still in a bit of a wait-and-see mode. I would say if 12z is the same then it's time to issue the High Wind Watches.
