As I posted, it was only 40 degrees here last evening so I'm not too acclimated to "warm" yet, lol. Today being only the 2nd or 3rd time we've gotten to 55+ but yeah, 18F morning forecasted surely won't be nice after this mild spell. Ground has unfrozen itself in the back which faces south and the holiday decorations finally were free of glacier so I was able to get all that in this evening. Even with the cold mornings and dusting of snow in the forecast, every day is above freezing and up here that's mild.
I think his post was mostly correct - this is outside prime-time TOR season for Michigan. I'm not as much of a severe hound as I was in my younger days so perhaps there's been some I'm not remembering but nothing stands out in my memory in the way of sig March twisters, especially this early and your post noting the rare damage next to a mostly frozen lake really makes that point.
