Thunderstorms here are usually weak, so I know my fear is irrational

Lightning is the only weather phenomenon that I have a healthy fear of. Everything else you can generally avoid. That said, a PNW “storm” with 3 lightning strikes doesn’t bother me. A real storm with 5,000 strikes is another story.
