Our pleasant season, second half of October to 1st half of April, corresponds to the garbage season in PNW.
And our inferno season corresponds to the nice season in PNW. Yes, I don't consider end of October to early April nice in PNW.
On Sunday parts of inland Qatar will record the first >40°C high of the year, signalling the beginning of the hot season.
Today's high was a very pleasant 31°C with very dry air.
Heckova CO Low showing up in the LR for late next week...gotta love the big blocks showing up in Canada and Greenland...this time of year is the epitome of Omega Blocks as a result of the slowing jet stream. Good luck trying to track these powerhouse storms but one things is for certain, I really see a whacky blocky pattern shaping up for the last week of April into May.
Everything from retrograding troughs, occluding lows, Omega Blocks and....quite possibly some April snow flakes??? Fun, fun, fun times if you like tracking big storms and blocking patterns.
