NOAA's precipitation outlook is predicting "equal chances" for rainfall over the winter months in North Texas.
Most of the Metroplex and parts of East Texas and the Panhandle are also showing "equal chances" for precipitation. For the rest of the state, below normal precipitation is expected.

This isn’t funny anymore.
Here in the swamp we got snowholed with the one late-season event, so zero measurable snow even when others had 3+ inches a few miles away. Pretty gruesome.
The cost of a new cedar shingle roof on a 10 x 12 shed is pretty eye watering. I could have saved a lot of money by going with asphalt shingles but I think it would look funny.
