Wind is actually better for fires than sun. Though hot sun and dry conditions help prepare things.

Smoke enhanced marine layer. Bring it on.

Prescribed burn on Pine Mountain SE of Bend escaped today. Fortunately the fire and smoke are blowing away from any populated areas, but it shows what we’ll be working with this summer. East of the crest yes, but shouldn’t be burning this intensely at 6500’ on 5/7.

Looks like fire season has started.

Weather looks nice this weekend, before I go on my FL trip.
