Both hit 97. DCA had river influence, IAD was under a band of towering cumulus coming off the blue ridge during peak heating which eventually grew into a thunderstorm (plus a little higher in elevation).
The Cabin John house was also apparently unlucky in having basically every cloud miss until the end of the day based on the solar radiation data. Our apartment at Tyson’s only topped out at 97.

Yep... Phil lives in a world of only extremes. Its either 105 degrees or cold rain and gloom. 72 and mostly sunny never comes up in his list of options. I don't want extreme heat or cold, gloomy, wet weather. I want the middle ground in between.
