I didn’t want it, tried to avoid it, but ended up having a great time with it. Your kids meet (mostly) nice kids with (mostly) nice parents. My kids took the commitment to fitness into adulthood and have maintained it. I would definitely do it again, but when it was over I found other things to do.

10/11 survival with a crash like that is a miracle. downdrafts are no joke. we don't get many thunderstorms around here and these were midlevel thunderstorms north of where they were forecast, so the pilot may have been ill prepared

Ugh, looks like it might have been weather related. A small plane like that would have a very tough time making it through a cell like this.
