I thought the July storms were pretty remarkable up this way. Best upscale event in a while. We've had a few weak squalls dissipating off the cascades in recent years but July's event blew up right overhead with dozens CG's within city limits and lightning every 10 seconds
Luck of the draw. Up until this warm season Vancouver has been suffering a multi-year thunderstorm drought. I can’t count how many times action to the south heading north has just disintegrated once it approaches the 49th parallel.
