Exactly. I got family and friends on Tapps so I have experienced too many weekends out there good and bad. Tapps is a great place, just not for me anymore. I am surprised @iFred hasn’t weighed in on his home lake.

Tapps has 45 miles of shoreline... pretty insane. On a hot summer weekend day it does get pretty crazy on Tapps but if we are living on the lake we can also go boating during the non-peak times.

Oh the cops are always there at the boat launch at American. Tapps has a lot more shoreline but the water is crazier to boat on In my experience.

I live near Lake Youngs (previously Swan Lake) and it was stolen from us for Seattle's drinking water (a very long time ago though)! Rugged 600-700 foot elevation terrain nearby. Completely fenced off. No one can even see it. I hope Seattle feels bad about taking away such a large and beautiful lake from us.
