Saw news cameras on the 41st St overpass in Everett as I was headed into work. The sky to the north was absolutely beautiful with some the deepest steel grey hues I’ve seen outside of our stormy season. In Bellevue it is absolutely surreal to see racing clouds in early June.
Both the Euro and GFS on Saturday night were predicting a storm total here through 11 am Monday of about 1.3-1.5" and it looks like I'll end up picking up about 0.9". So I received about 2/3 of what was forecast, although the WRF did a decent job of forecasting I'd get less than an inch.
Storm total of 0.48" here was less than half of what even the most pessimistic forecast or model QPF depicted.
I still struggle to understand why this happens with almost every rain event.
