Some more info on today. Huge MUCAPE of 4000-6000 J/kg develops today but wind shear is lacking, perhaps 30 kts or so this evening at best. This suggests cold pool dominated outflows will quickly congeal any storms into lines with a wind threat. Models are suggesting locally 60-90 mph winds could occur though that may be too high on the upper end. Hail is possible too, but only before it becomes linear.
It was slipping on uneven ground so I jumped from maybe 4 feet up and my knee completely buckled on the landing. Phil says that is impossible though so maybe I wasn't actually injured.
I also had a ladder slip from under me while I was climbing onto the roof about 10 years ago. Fell backwards and landed on the deck on my butt and my entire backside was bruised beyond recognition but didn't break anything. I am done with ladders now. Not worth it.
